Riverside Cottage is located within the Hamlet of Mountfield, which is positioned north of the picturesque and historic town of Battle and has a beautiful 12th century church. Robertsbridge and Battle Railway Stations provide a good rail service to London and the nearby A21 connects to the M25 Motorway network providing access to London and Gatwick, and with easy access also being provided to coastal towns such as Brighton and Dover.
Mountfield has many fine country walks and is in easy reach of the villages of Battle and Robertsbridge
Robertsbridge is quintessentially a character English village with a plethora of attractive beamed period properties flanking the High Street. The local area has plenty of interesting places to visit such as the Darwell Reservoir. The historic abbey town of Battle, which is within easy driving distance, is infamous for the defeat of King Harold at the hands of William the Conqueror on nearby Senlac Hill in 1066. The Town has a good selection of shopping in the delightful High Street and a growing number of antique style businesses attracting the attention of the many tourist to the area. Good restaurants and many places of interest are to be enjoyed.
Riverside is a pretty detached period 'Chocolate Box' cottage nestling within beautiful mature gardens complete with a stunning stream. The property has an entrance porch to the front elevation, attractive leaded windows and a new conservatory to the rear. Believed to date circa 1780's the Cottage features exposed beams, an Inglenook fireplace, a log burning stove and sits within grounds extending to 1/3 of an acre.
